“Dewey Death Metal System” is a piece of graffiti I saw written on the outside of an electrical box, probably in Allston, MA probably in 2009.

Since that time, I’ve started working in a library full-time and begun working toward my Master’s in Library Science.

This isn’t a library blog, though.  I mean, sometimes it is, but I think about other things, too.   And I’ve never even worked in a library that used the Dewey System; also, Melvil Dewey was kind of a mysogynist, I hear.  I don’t even listen to death metal and while I do consider myself progressive in terms of my perspective on technology, the name of this blog might suggest that I’m a little more radical than I actually am.  Mostly, I just think it’s a clever thing to say.
